7+ years of DevOps/SRE experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
Experience working with multiple external customers.
Strong knowledge of version control systems: Git and SVN.
Strong background in Linux systems administration (preferably RedHat 8).
Experience with Database applicative versioning.
Experience with large, non-cloud-based systems.
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
Experience managing production systems in a mission-critical environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the financial industry, especially low-latency trading systems.
Familiarity with RPM packaging and software delivery processes.
Hands-on experience with MariaDB/MySQL, including DBA-level management.
Experience with messaging systems (e.g., Solace), Solarflare network cards, and BigData tooling.
Background in optimizing C++ applications on Linux.
Knowledge of security best practices on-prem environments.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, etc.).
Expertise in automation tools (Ansible preferred) and infrastructure scripting.
Experience writing internal technical documentation and release notes.
Deep understanding of container technologies, especially Docker.

Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed team of DevOps engineers.
Oversee environment versioning, configuration management, and infrastructure automation.
Transform our text-based configuration into a generator-based process, enabling quick deployment to multiple servers.
Drive DevOps knowledge collection and team training - the DevOps team should be the Gold standard for configuration and deployment.
Manage the team - recruit, train, allocate tasks, supervise delivery.
Drive adoption of DevOps best practices, including monitoring, incident response, and security hardening.
Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance reliability, scalability, and speed of delivery.
